Radiology Unit of our center has two types of radiological applications including periapical (RadioVisioGraphy (RVG) imaging system)radiography and panoramic radiography.

            Panoramic Radiograph

Panoramic X-ray captures the entire mouth. Upper and lower jaws, sinuses, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), nasal cavity can be viewed by using panoramic X-ray. It usually has a great importance in viewing impacted wisdom teeth and observation of pediatric teeth development.

            Periapical Radiograph

Periapical X-ray shows teeth and bones, normal and abnormal structures. It usually shows a small section of teeth and used for taking images of 2 or 3 teeth.

Images taken and scanned by digital X-ray devices are archived in computer environment and sent to the treating physician via network connection. Our Radiology Unit gives great importance to radiation safety.

Therefore, protective lead aprons or lead thyroid collars are provided for our patients and personnel by our unit.
